Birchwood offers individuals an alternative to hospital, nursing home or in-home care during their final days, weeks, or months of life. Residents spend time with family and friends in a comfortable home-like atmosphere. Provides 24-hour nursing services, seven days a week and offers a wide range of healthcare services that include medical care, spiritual and emotional support, social services, personal care, special therapies such as music, massage and pet, and volunteer and bereavement services.

Birchwood is a complete residential home and includes all meals, snacks and supplements, laundry services, housekeeping and personal cares.   

The hospice house includes eight private bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area, great room, four-season porch, chapel/library, family room and laundry room. Bedrooms are equipped with Hill-rom beds with air mattresses and have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. Pull out sofas, phones, cable service, VCR, DVD and CD players are available in all rooms. State-of-the-art equipment includes two resident lifts to aid in making the resident's stay as comfortable as possible. A whirlpool tub with jets and a shampoo sink are also available in the home.
